Joined the University of Illinois Law Review

I joined the University of Illinois Law Review beginning in the Fall of 2010. The Law Review is one of three traditional journals published by the University of Illinois College of Law. The other two are the University of Illinois Journal of Law, Technology & Policy and The Elder Law Journal. Additionally, the College of Law publishes a couple of non-traditional journals that have no print editions, but exist primarily online. These include the Comparative Labor Law & Policy Journal and the Illinois Business Law Journal. More journals are likely to appear in the future, and further information can be found on the College of Law website.

Update (Feb. 2011): I will be serving as the Internet Editor of the law review from 2011-2012.

Summer Associateship at Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto

During the summer of 2010 I was a summer associate at the intellectual property law firm of Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto. Fitzpatrick is a New York-based IP boutique with additional offices in Washington, D.C. and Costa Mesa, CA. Its attorneys are experts in all areas of IP litigation and patent and trademark prosecution.

I was a summer associate in the California office. While there I got experience in all aspects of patent prosecution, including patent application preparation, office action responses, claim drafting and amendments, and examiner interviews.
